For the upcoming edition of the Global Billboard Project, Feature Shoot is thrilled to be partnering with 500px to bring the work of talented photographers to the busy streets of New York City. We’ll be returning to a giant billboard on Manhattan’s 9th Avenue, just blocks away from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on the corner of 37th Street. This time, three winning photographers will get to exhibit their work front-and-center for one week, drawing an estimated 600,000 views. Each winner will also receive a $500 from 500px plus a 500px Pro Membership.
The judging panel for this edition of the Global Billboard Project includes Alison Zavos, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Feature Shoot; Stephanie Newell, the Senior Public Relations and Brand Manager at 500px; Bill Shapiro, the former Editor-in-Chief of LIFE and the founding Editor-in-Chief of LIFE.com; and the influential photographer and photo editor Yodith Dammlash. We’re also delighted to have Peak Design, Luminar by Skylum, F-Stop Gear, and Logickeyboard as our sponsors, with a stellar prize package valued at more than $1,000 per winner: the Peak Design Everyday Messenger, the Luminar AI Max Bundle, the Tilopa 50L Adventure and Travel Camera Backpack, and the Logickeyboard ASTRA 2 Backlit Keyboard for PC or Mac.
The theme for The Global Billboard Project by Feature Shoot x 500px is Stand Out Shots, so send us your attention-grabbing visuals. This competition is all about fearless color, bold compositions, and one-of-a-kind stories. We look forward to seeing photos that’ll reawaken the New York skyline, inspire passersby, and linger in their memories long after they drive on through the Lincoln Tunnel.
