Now in its fourth year, The Fence is back and bigger than ever. Organized by United Photo Industries in conjunction with sister event Photoville, the outdoor photography exhibition is truly one of a kind, drawing together 40-60 artists from around the world in a unique and site-specific show centered on themes of community. This year, the large-scale event has a predicted audience of more than 3 million. In addition to exhibiting in Brooklyn, Boston, and Atlanta, The Fence will also travel to Houston in partnership with the Houston Center for Photography.
Photographers are welcome to submit all work that speaks to the idea of community, with series that work to extend past cultural and geographical boundaries. Categories and themes include creatures, home, people, play, streets, and nature. All featured photographers will have printed work exhibited, give exclusive interview, be featured in the Photoville 2015 Opening Party slideshow, and receive a one-year subscription to PhotoShelter. Other prizes include the Jurors’ Choice Grand Prize, which comes with a solo exhibition at Photoville 2015 and a feature in PDN magazine.
The Fence 2015 welcomes an esteemed jury of more than forty industry professionals, including Feature Shoot Founder and Editor-in-Chief Alison Zavos. The deadline for submissions is March 16, 2015. Submit here. We hope to see you there!
