South Korean, NYC-based photographer and Squarespace user Hye-Ryoung Min tells us there is a saying in Korea: ‘naughty 7 years old,’ describing the age that children

are thought to be their most mischievous selves. This is also the age that Min began photographing her niece, Yeonsoo, for her series of the same name. Following the journey of this young and sensitive girl, Min documents Yeonsoo with thoughtful care, watching her express herself as she finds her way in the world. Here Min finds her niece playing by herself at home, setting up a scene crafted by her limitless imagination.
