Photographer and artist Nancy Burson’s work constantly challenges photographic truth, using various forms of manipulation to create surreal, illusive imagery

. The 1982 10 Businessmen From Goldman Sachs is one of her earliest composite photographs, using a method which later became christened “morphing”. Through her patented process, the portrait is made up of multiple faces superimposed and averaged together, resulting in a new, amalgamated identity drawn from the multitude.
