PHOTOGRAPHERS ON WINNING A FEATURE SHOOT PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD:
LISSA RIVERA
“Since winning the Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Award, my portfolio has been featured on the Huffington Post as well as in GUP Magazine, and I have received the Peter Urban Legacy Award, selected by esteemed juror Elizabeth Avedon for the Griffin Museum Juried Show. New York-based gallery, Station Independent Projects, showcased an image from ‘Beautiful Boy’ in WE:AMEricans, curated by Ruben Natal-San Miguel and Leah Oats. Particularly gratifying was the interview with Feature Shoot’s Ellyn Kail, who took extra care to produce a sensitive and thoughtful article.”

SYNCHRODOGS
“Being one of winners of the Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards is an important step in any artists’ career. Right after winning the Award, we also became finalists of Lensculture Visual Storytelling Award and the Palm Photo Prize. We also gave artist talk at one of the biggest art festivals in Europe called Off Festival in Barcelona, showed our works at the Voices Off Festival in Arles together with Handsome production, and had a solo show in Milano, Italy, at the Office Project room gallery, amongst many more notable achievements. Overall, it was a very interesting experience!”

CAMILLE MICHEL
“After being published on Feature Shoot, my work received a lot of attention. The project was published numerous times in magazines and online; P3 magazine (Portugal), The Weather Channel (United States), ZOOM magazine (Italia), and Fotopolis magazine (Poland). I was contacted to participate in exhibitions, such as Uummannaq, and at the Eyes on Main Street Festival in North Carolina. I was also selected for the prize Voices Off, Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie, Arles. Thank you to Feature Shoot as the award enabled me to get introduced to many interesting people!”

We can’t wait to see your work!
