World famous dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov has pursued a new artistic endeavor with photography. This exhibition features Baryshnikov’s photographs that interpret dance and performance.

Re-photographing images of the sun with her iPhone, Umbrico explores the ideas of post-production and consumption in digital media.

EXHIBITION: Fashioning Winter, Somerset House, Strand

A series of small exhibitions make up this winter-themed showcase. Included are vintage Christmas cards by photographer Angus McBean, Skating on Film, a silent film of ice skaters both amateur and professional in the early 1900s, and photographs of the British Armed Forces in the winters of World War I.

This benefit auction supports Josephine Herrick Project’s photography projects that provide free photography programs to struggling communities. The auction features iconic works by Man Ray, as well as contemporary pieces by Elizabeth Opalenik, Sean Kernan, and Ron Cowie.

Australian photographer Angus McDonald’s photographs depict India’s unique railways. Training his lens on the people who travel by rail, McDonald captures the human spirit in the stunning landscape of India.

This short documentary shows science filming through the ages and groundbreaking filming techniques with macro images and time-lapse photography of insects.

EXHIBITION: Salon 2014, Photofusion, 17A Electric Lane

For their annual salon exhibition, Photofusion presents the work of 140 member artists. This show will include digital and analog, documentary, landscape, portraiture, and more genres that will fill the walls with photographs and video installation.

EXHIBITION: Stamp Out Photographie, Whitechapel Gallery, 77-82 Whitechapel High Street

This exhibition is curated by renowned British artist Fiona Banner and features works from the V-A-C collection in Moscow. Banner’s selections interweave painting, photography, and language to challenge conventional representational imagery and gallery presentation.
