The word intimacy can signify so many things. Though it is often ascribed to the tightly-woven emotional, intellectual, physical and sexual space in which a couple inhabits, it can also refer to the close relationships among family or friends, or simply the stillness in a moment.

We’re eager to see your photographic interpretation of this artistic concept! Please send us your best work channeling the theme of intimacy by July 11.

The top three winners will receive a free one-year subscription to Squarespace, the intuitive website publishing platform that makes it simple for photographers to build creative and professional sites with their combo of award-winning designs, hosting, domains, and commerce. Selected photos will run on the Feature Shoot website and be promoted through our social media channels. Copyright remains with the photographer.

Keren Moscovitch, an artist, photographer, educator and curator is the judge for this competition. Her work explores intimacy and the intersection between sexuality and spirituality, including the series Me into You  — pictured above and also published on Feature Shoot — in which she explores these themes and the dissolving of boundaries within open relationships. Moscovitch also teaches at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Her work has been exhibited internationally  and she has been featured in publications including New York Magazine, Time Out New York, The Huffington Post, and Playboy.
