It could be said that the subway is one of the best places for people watching. With the endless stream of characters from all walks of life parading in and out through those subway doors, it’s no wonder photographers have been known to sneak a photo or two. Whether enduring the lovable grime of the NYC underground or hopping aboard the train in London or Tokyo, we want to see your images of the subway.

Our judge is Travis Ruse, Photography Director at Inc. Magazine and subway aficionado. Sharing images of the NYC subway on his blog from 2005 – 2007, Ruse gathered a significant following addicted to his daily vision of the underground.

Top three winners will receive a free one-year subscription to Squarespace, the intuitive website publishing platform that makes it simple for photographers to build creative and professional sites with their combo of award-winning designs, hosting, domains, and commerce. Selected photos will run on the Feature Shoot website and be promoted through our social media channels. Copyright remains with the photographer.

To submit, please use our form. You may submit up to five images (620 pixels wide on the shortest side, saved for web, no borders or watermarks) titled with your name and the number of the image (ex: yourname_01.jpg). Please include captions detailing the name/location of the subway submitted.

Deadline is October 28th.

Squarespace is a Feature Shoot sponsor.
