Wilderness
© Daniel Kovalovszky

In an increasingly urban society, wild spaces have become foreign to our every day living. By entering the wilderness with their cameras, photographers become voyagers, exploring untamed lands. From serene meadows to lush forests and national parks, there is a wide variety in climate, topography, and development on our planet. From mountains to coastlines, deserts to tundras, we want to see your photographs of places untouched by human hands.

Our judge will be Yumi Goto, an independent photography curator, editor, researcher and consultant who focuses on the development of cultural exchanges that transcend borders. She is a founder of the REMINDERS PROJECT. She is a Prix Pictet Photography Prize nominator, 2012 MAGNUM Emergency Fund nominator, Photo City Sagamihara Asia Prize nominator and a founder and curator of the Asian Women photographers showcase and jury for 2014 lensculture’s Visual Storytelling Awards and Photolucida’s Critical Mass and numerous awards and competitions in past years. Now working as a full-time curator and photography consultant for the reminders photography stronghold.

Top three winners will receive a free one-year subscription to Squarespace, the intuitive website publishing platform that makes it simple for photographers to build creative and professional sites with their combo of award-winning designs, hosting, domains, and commerce. Selected photos will run on the Feature Shoot website and be promoted through our social media channels. Copyright remains with the photographer.

To submit, email up to five images (620 pixels wide on the shortest side, saved for web, no borders or watermarks) titled with your name and the number of the image (ex: yourname_01.jpg) to fsgroupshow (at) gmail (dot) com with “Wilderness” in the subject line. Please include your full name, website and image captions within the body of the email.

Deadline is November 23rd.
