Invisible City focuses on similarities between city and web, the places where human interactions happen. In the information technology era, urban infrastructures and server answer to the same need to communicate and exchange aspects of contemporary life. We spend in our city the same amount of time we spend on the internet.
Server and urban intrastructures, elements usually perceived as distant are here coupled together linked with common visual elements. If it’s true that photographs come to life through the perception of the observer, here we have all the compulsory elements to consider the way how communication via internet has completely changed our way of living.—Francesco Stelitano
The cleverly conceived project by Italian photographer Francesco Stelitano requires a double take, indeed—and definitely gets us thinking. Stelitano is represented by LUZphoto and prints from this series are sold through Eye Defect.

My son is a web designer, I doubt he has any idea of the amount of infrastructure needed to keep him in a job!
