Femto Photography: Capturing Light 1 Trillion Frames Per Second

by Alison Zavos on August 16, 2012 · 0 comments

MIT Professor Ramesh Raskar and his team have constructed a camera and software that can capture slow motion videos at the speed of light— literally capturing the world at 1 trillion frames per second. This is accomplished with a “new imaging technique” he calls “femto photography”, which also enables cameras to “look around corners and see inside our body without an x-ray”.

Professor Raskar spoke about this new technology at a TED talk in Scotland in June, 2012.
