Marilyn-Monore by Magnum

Many of the remarkable pictures of Marilyn Monroe were taken by members of the collective, Magnum Photos, and appear in this collection, Marilyn by Magnum, 50 years after her death. Including iconic photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, Eve Arnold, Inge Morath, and Philippe Halsman, among others, they capture Marilyn on and off the set. Ranging from glamorous portraits to candid scenes of delicate intimacy, Marilyn is pictured filming moves such as Some Like It Hot and The Misfits, her last film. Close to 100 images reveal Marilyn’s uncanny ease in front of the camera, whether acting or exercising, putting on makeup, or gracefully posing. Magnum by Marilyn is published by Prestel.
