Polo in the snow, women draped in fur, champagne, caviar, cosmetic surgery – these are the images that immediately come to mind when one thinks of skiing in St. Moritz. However, Daniel Gebhart de Koekkoek’s photographs show a different, little-known image of vacationers to this resort town. Away from the crowd, the St. Moritz winter campers enjoy their caravans in the tranquility and beauty of nature. Their choice is not about bypassing astronomical hotel prices, but the luxury of personal freedom they experience in the calming surroundings of the caravan.
