Noe Montes is a photographer living happily in Los Angeles, with his wife, son, and daughter. He photographs editorial and commercial work for clients ranging from non-profit organizations to engineering firms to advertising agencies. This work, Los Angeles is Beautiful, was commissioned by the Los Angeles Police Foundation for an internal publication. He writes: ‘When I was asked to photograph the city from a helicopter I jumped at the chance. I truly love Los Angeles. It is a post-city city. Things here are just slightly too much. The overlapping of so many ethnicities, cultures, social and economic classes give rise to something completely new. Something beautiful and complex.’
