Timothy Vanhonacker is a Belgian-New Yorker with a talent for using his lens to capture the energy that pulses through a city at night. The young photographer currently resides in Shanghai and works as the Expo Axis Photographer/Creative Art Designer at HCD Global. Of this work he writes: ‘My images convey my attraction to the qualities of urban light at night. This light, combined with nocturnal colors and odd forms, creates a mysterious grandeur within cities that can overwhelm us all’. Tim spends much of his time playing around with wide angle lens on his Canon 5D, shooting corners of various big cities and towns across Asia and Antwerp. His blog chronicles his photos, random tales, and personal anecdotes.
