Often rooted in the study of relationships and personal mythology Manjari Sharma’s work has been recognized as walking the line of fine art, portraiture and lifestyle photography. Sharma moved to New York City from Mumbai in late 2007. Some of her most recent achievements include being selected as a Critical Mass Top 50 winner, a participant in Review Santa Fe 2010 as well as being included in the American Photography 26 book and exhibition. Sharma’s work has been selected and featured by Slideluck Potshow, PDN Photo of The Day Blog, Flak Photo, Deep Sleep magazine, 1000 Words Magazine, Fraction Magazine, Exposure Compensation, Nymphoto blog, Burn Magazine, Leica China and Lenscratch. Sharma is represented by Richard Levy Gallery and currently lives and freelances in New York City.

Evocative photographs indeed.

I should point out again that, photography is not about technical perfection. That’s needed for business and marketing purposes mostly.

Photography, on the other side as art, is all about aesthetics and defining a moment.
