Greasy Christmas by award-winning photographer Alan Powdrill focuses on the quintessential workman’s cafe that’s been supplying the all day fry up since the invention of the frying pan. At Christmas time the ‘greasy spoon’ cafe really comes into it’s own as garish seasonal decorations compete with the often neglected interiors and over saturated food on offer. Shot over one month in and around London, Alan has added his unique look and humour to a subject that will become ever more popular as we all struggle with economic woes.
