These young and talented photographers are part of NYC Salt, a Nonprofit program founded by photographers, Alicia Hansen and Rebecca Locke, that utilizes digital technology to engage inner-city teenagers through photography classes, inspire them through the creative job market and college visits, and empower them, by wakening hidden talent and showing them how to use their voices to contribute to NYC culture.
You can purchase their work through the NYC Salt website as well as NYC Salt’s Summer Show & Biannual Fundraiser at Sputnik Gallery, NYC on June 10. Proceeds from the show will allow 12 students to attend an intensive, week-long photography camp in Syracuse, NY this summer, all expenses paid.
