Travel Fashion Documentary Editorial & Portrait Photographers: Feature Shoot'
Yu Xiao was born in 1984 in Zi Bo, Shandong, China. She received her M.A. in Photography from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. She has won many awards and has exhibited in China and America. In this work, ‘Never grow up’, Yu Xiao digitally creates child versions of herself as a commentary on China’s one child rule and the intense focus on childhood that results.

It looks very similar to Loretta Lux’s series of photographs and style.

Her work reminds me aesthetically of Loretta Lux’s. I love the one with the satiny green dress.
While the work is okay, and I think the inspiration is obvious, it’s hard to get passed the fact that these are pretty much exact copies of Loretta Lux’s very distinct style.
