Nicola Carignani was born in Pietrasanta, Italy in 1978. Right after his classical college studies he started cultivating a strong passion towards graphic design, publishing, contemporary art and photography. Since 1997 he has dedicated himself to these interests. In 1998 he founded Boilermag.it, an International contemporary art website that became a paper magazine, Boiler, in 2000. He worked there as art director until 2004, when he quit the project to commit completely to photography. Since 1998 he has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He lives between Milano and Pietrasanta and carries on shooting for personal, advertising and editorial projects mostly related to fashion and sports.
