Antje Peters lives and works in Rotterdam, NL. Her work has been shot in solo and group exhibitions and some of her clients include Heeb Magazine, Blend Magazine, and Fairy Tale Magazine. Of this work she says, ‘My work starts with a strong fascination for clichés and stereotypes in our visual culture, which I consider as a mirror of our society. I am interested in how they influence our daily life, thoughts and ideals. I collect images from internet, books and magazines and divide them in to categories to define the essence and then capture in a new photograph. Through this method I build a archive of stereotype images, which is my attempt to order the flood of images surrounding us. Besides the stereotype image there is another layer in my work which sometimes relates to photography as a medium itself or other issues regarding our time’.
