Peter Gates lives and works in Brighton, England. Of his work he says, ‘My photographic practice concentrates on the poetry of the everyday. I aim to lift common and mundane objects and scenes from their banality and through the camera fix them with a momentary aura. Focusing simply on the peripheral I am interested giving such subject matter new and unexpected signification’.
