Jeremy Kohm, Toronto

by Alison Zavos on July 21, 2009 · 0 comments

Jeremy Kohm is an emerging Toronto-based advertising and editorial photographer. His style stems from a thoroughly researched and methodical approach, often challenging the viewer to examine themes of scale and narrative. Originally photography was a method for him and his friends to capture their three-year surfing exploits across Japan. But after moving to Sydney, his focus shifted to studying photography and he enrolled in the Australian Centre for Photography. It was there that he began to develop the more technical aspects of his craft. Upon returning to Canada, he assisted many of the country’s top advertising and editorial photographers, including a two year tenure as a first assistant for Chris Gordaneer at the prestigious Westside Studio. Currently, Kohm is working on a before-and-after series of portraits.
