Abby Ross, New York

by Alison Zavos on July 16, 2009 · 3 comments

New York-based Abby Ross first became immersed in photography whilst living in San Francisco, and in particular during the ‘long bus rides downtown’ where she was intrigued by the amount of characters and stories that passed her by. ‘I wished for them to go by in slow motion’, she says, ’so I could somehow record the scenes. There is hidden beauty in the ordinary, and great beauty in the overlooked. Little things are big, less is more. Imperfection is beautiful. Paradoxes such as these fascinate me’.

Very interesting reading about you and your photographic beginnings! It was a pleasure working with you in WPB, FL back in March at Lainie and Michael’s wedding.
