Born in Portland, Oregon, Justin James Reed has lived all over the United States and consistently draws from this disparate experience for inspiration. He studied at the Tyler School of Art (MFA) and Minneapolis College of Art & Design (BFA). His work and artist book have been shown widely, including: New York City, Brooklyn, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, Toronto, Copenhagen, Sydney, and Paris. In addition, his photographs were featured in “The Collectors Guide to Emerging Art Photography” (Humble Arts Foundation), Capricious Magazine, and most recently “Flash Forward 2011” (Magenta Foundation). He is a member of the international artist collective, Piece of Cake.
